What is the best background for a corporate group photo?

A neutral, consistent background, such as a clean wall, architectural element, or seamless paper backdrop, typically works best for corporate group photos. It keeps the focus on people and ensures the image remains usable across a variety of marketing and web formats without looking dated.

How should employees dress for New Jersey company headshots?

Employees photographed for New Jersey company headshots should wear solid, mid-tone colors and avoid busy patterns, bright whites, or highly reflective fabrics. Sending a written dress code memo at least one week before the session reduces the likelihood of mismatched attire on shoot day.

How long does a corporate group photo session typically take?

A corporate group photo session for a team of 10 to 20 people typically requires two to four hours, depending on whether individual headshots are included. Larger teams or multi-location shoots will require more time, and building in a 20 to 30 percent schedule buffer is strongly recommended.

Can a New Jersey corporate headshot photographer come to our office?

Yes, most professional New Jersey corporate headshot photographers offer on-location sessions at your office or a venue of your choosing. On-location shoots are efficient for larger teams and allow for environmental portraits that show your team in context, which can be a strong asset for company culture and recruiting content.

How do you keep executive portraits on location consistent with studio headshots?

Consistency between executive portraits on location and studio headshots is achieved through a documented lighting setup that can be replicated in any environment. This includes matching lighting ratios, using the same backdrop specifications when applicable, and maintaining consistent camera-to-subject distances across all sessions.

How often should a company update its team photos?

Most companies benefit from updating team and group photos every one to two years, or whenever significant changes occur in team composition, branding, or leadership. Outdated photos that no longer represent your current team can create confusion for clients and reduce the credibility of your online presence.

What types of headshots do you offer?

I specialize in professional headshots for executives, teams, and staff at all levels. I can create clean studio-style portraits, environmental images photographed in your office space, outdoors or other location, depending on your needs.

Can you match the style of our existing headshots?

Yes. I'll review your current images and match the lighting and background so new photos blend seamlessly with what you already have.

Do you provide both individual and group sessions?

Absolutely. I regularly work with both individual executives and entire companies, from small teams to large corporate offices.

Do you offer headshots at events?

Yes. We can create great-looking headshots for large numbers of people at events such as a company meeting, conference or trade show. We provide individual selection and delivery of images and event photography for any type of event.

Do you provide retouching?

All final image files have basic enhancements, exposure, color and contrast included. We also include skin smoothing, stray hair and lint removal, teeth whitening and brightening the eyes as needed.

Can you photograph at our office?

Yes. Most of my work is done on-site. I bring the studio to you. I require a small conference room or any open space of 15 feet wide by 20 feet long, or larger is ideal, to set-up. But we have worked within smaller areas depending on the situation.

How long does each session take?

Most individual headshots take 5–10 minutes, while executives who want extra variety can plan for 20-30 minutes. Large teams would be more stream-lined at less than 5 minutes, depending on the number of people.

How much setup time do you need?

Typically, 60–90 minutes before the first session.

What kind of backgrounds can I choose from?

Most clients choose either white, grey or black. If you have a specific color to match, we will accommodate that as well. If you desire an environmental portrait, such as an office, hotel or outdoor location, we'll select an ideal space to create a beautiful background. Depending on the request we may want to scout the area before the day of photo shoot.

How is professional headshots pricing structured?

Pricing is typically based on half-day or full-day sessions, with flexibility for smaller teams or individual portraits. I'm happy to provide a custom quote once I know your needs.

Do you charge for travel or rescheduling?

Local travel is included. For multiple locations or last-minute changes, I'll provide clear costs upfront—no surprises.

How are the photos delivered?

You'll receive a private online gallery within 2–3 business days for image selection and final retouched images within 1–2 weeks, depending on volume. You'll be able to download both high-resolution (for print) and web-optimized files (for LinkedIn, website, social media, etc.).

Do you provide wardrobe or grooming tips?

Yes. I send a preparation guide in advance with suggestions on clothing, grooming, and colors that work best for headshots.

Yes. I carry full liability and equipment insurance. A copy of my certificate of insurance is available on request.

Do we own the photos once delivered?

While I retain the copyright to the photos, you receive full usage rights for business, marketing, and personal use.
